ÔªøEHHA Board Meeting Minutes 8-22-2006 7:30-9:30 pm Present: Milo Medin, Steve Harper, Steve Hill, Sallie Martin, Carolyn Chaney, Carole Henley, Lee Lukehart, Cheryl McGovern Absent: Amy French Treasurer's Report: The treasurer reported on the current balance of funds on hand, funds received to date for 2006 as well as the amount of funds received in 2005 and 2004. Also, the treasurer reported what it costs to produce a newsletter. The treasurer will provide a summary of expenses paid by EHHA over the last several years at the next meeting. Minutes:¬Ý¬ÝThe secretary will send them out 7/25 minutes, accept comments by the end of the month, and send to Lee for posting on the website. Cell Phone: Cingular's phone cell site plans (along Edgewood Road) were discussed at the County's planning commission meeting July 31. FCC rules can't deny siting based on EMF's but can deny based on visual impacts. The Planning Commission¬Ýdeferred a decision indefinitely. Tree Permit: A 79" and a 34" diameter oak tree are under consideration for removal on an empty lot. The County is requiring a second arborists report. EHHA Board member¬ÝChaney will send a letter to Planning¬ÝDepartment staff stating that we would support their removal only if they are diseased. Otherwise, we support removal considerations during the design review process. Old Business: Sewer Update. Board members were informed about the 8/1/06 public hearing.¬Ý¬ÝMcGovern will attend meeting in Burlingame with¬Ýother districts to further investigate options for lowering sewer fees. Our household sewer fees will rise next year as follows: “Äà¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý Emerald Hills Zone 1 (West Summit area): from $482 to $629 (savings of $221) “Äà¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý Emerald Hills Zone 2: (remaining EH Heights): from $353 to $428 (savings of $255) “Äà Oak Knoll: unchanged from $412 (savings of $283) Henley reported on the Welcome Package and others agreed to bring materials for it to the next EHHA meeting. Details of it were discussed. Social Event. Harper will call Chief of Fire Station to coordinate opening event and/or to advertise fall/winter events associated with the station in our newsletter. Design Review Report.¬Ý¬ÝNo report. Newsletter: Sept/Oct.:¬Ý¬ÝMembers brainstormed ideas for the next newsletter. Zoning Proposal: Chaney made a motion to pull the zoning proposal and annouce it in the newsletter, McGovern seconded¬Ýit.¬Ý¬ÝMotion passed.
